Insulation Concepts installs conventional insulation coverings for your piping, tanks, boilers, ad vessels. Our coverings are totally enclosed insulating components that have a working range of -50ºF to +2000ºF. Our coverings are designed for years of dependable service.

We use only hte highest quality materials from Owens Corning mineral wool and fiberglass, Pittsburg Corning foamglass, Dow Trymer products and RPR Aluminum; all of who are leaders in the insulation supply industry. These materials are matched to your products and applications by trained and qualified personnel.

Primarily designed for your steam and or hot process piping systems, our jackets are totally enclosed insulating components that have a working range of -65ºF to +2300ºF depending on the materials and construction methods required. Our jackets are designed for ease of application and years of dependable service. Independent studies on energy costs show a payback on our jackets can be WITHIN THREE MONTHS OR LESS.

    Materials

    The hi-tech materials used in removable insulating jackets are very similar in appearance and function.     Quality Construction For Long Service

    Our construction methods include all machine sewing: blind stitching on all but the closing seams. We bar tack or double stitch all corners and wherever reinforcement is necessary. Kevlar (R) thread is used whenever possible giving you the strongest seams available. A wide variety of jacketing and insulating materials as well as thread types may be used in the construction of the jacket. Temperature and/or ambient conditions may indicate the type of construction best suited for your application. Some of the construction methods are listed elsewhere in this website.

    Serviceability

    The most significant reasons for using Insulation Concepts jackets are the speed and ease of removal and re-installation. A number of closure methods can be employed which include our standard type 304 stainless steel lacing anchors, velcro closures, belts and buckles or a combination of the above. Storm and wind flaps on jacket ends are used whenever possible. Your personnel will appreciate the ease of access and re-installation our jackets provide. You will value the speed in which this can be accomplished as well as the knowledge that you have again used a Competitive Edge, as just ONE removal and re-installation of our jacket has more than paid for the original cost.

    Identification

    Each Insulation Concepts jacket is tagged for description and location to eliminate the possible confusion of re-installation should a number of jackets be removed at the same time for painting or general maintenance. The identifying system may be a simple numerical number with a corresponding tag on the item which we can supply, use of your own numbers, color coded tags, etc.

    Because construction methods and materials used may be limited by the ambient temperature or the working environment, this list is only a general guide. In corrosive applications or environments, Teflon (R) liner and weather barrier materials are recommended. In low temperature corrosive applications. Thdlar and Hypalon (R) Jacketing may be used.
